===============

Thai Sukiyaki is actually more like Chinese hot pot or shabu shabu than it is like Japanese sukiyaki so don't let the name fool you. What makes Thai Suki (hot pot) special is the the dipping sauce! Thai Suki hot pot is very easy to make and it feed anywhere between 4 - 8 people. You will just need more raw ingredients for more people. It's like a dining experience where everyone sits around the table and you put ingredients into a boiling pot and cook the meats inside the pot like fondu. The best part is it's very customizable. You can put whatever you like into the pot.

You will need the following items to get this meal ready:

- A hot plate gas or electric / shabu shabu steaming pot with lid or equivalent
- Bowls for everyone, condiment bowls for Pantai suki sauce , chopsticks, etc.
- Pantainorasingh Cantonese Suki Sauce (found in most Asian markets)
- Trays or large plates to arrange meats, veggies and other ingredients

Here are some examples of ingredients that could be used depending on your own preference:

Any combination of veggies you like:

Baby corn
Carrot, sliced thinly
Napa cabbage, sliced thinly
Button mushrooms, chopped
Shiitake mushrooms, chopped or whole
Green onions, chopped
Bok choy, chopped
Chinese Cabbage chopped
Shungiku chopped
Enoki mushrooms
Tofu
Daikon radish
Mung bean threads / Glass noodles
Shimeji mushrooms chopped
cilantro, garlic and chili if you want to add to the suki sauce

For the meats, again use any combination of meat you like:

Ground pork, seasoned with fish sauce, black pepper
Pork loin, thinly sliced
Beef steak, thinly sliced
Chicken, thinly sliced
Shrimp, peeled and deveined
Fish balls
Squid sliced
Fishcake
Eggs

For the broth you will need the following:

6 cups chicken broth
1-2 cups water
2 inches of ginger, peeled and cut into slices
2-3 tbsp of fish sauce

Heat all ingredients together in a large pot on the stove until they come to a boil.
For some meats such as beef and pork you can cook it in the pot after like shabu shabu.

After it comes to a boil you are ready to eat. You can add broth and water to the pot as you eat to replenish the soup and add ingredients as needed.

Don't forget to dip cooked meats, vegetables and seafood into Pantai Cantonese Style Suki sauce to have Authentic Thai Taste hot pot.

ENJOY!
