The flavours in Five Spice Blend reflect the influence of Chinese cuisine, dated back more than 50 years ago. This dish should be cooked a day in advance and left to marinate, giving a richer flavour to the meats.

Serving: 1 sachet can be done 12 times. (Note: Use only 1 tablespoonful for each cooking)
Recipe: Chicken Wings in Five-Spice Blend
1. Prepare 1/2 kg chicken wings. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon Chinese Five-Spice Blend over chicken wings and knead gently.
2. Fry 1 teaspoon minced garlic with 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Stir-fry chicken wings, turn a few times.
3. Add 3 cups (720ml) water, 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons light soy sauce and 2 teaspoons dark soy sauce to taste.
4. Add 4 hard-boiled eggs, 1 piece bean curd, cut into 1 inch cubes. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Garnish with coriander leave before serving.
Ingredients: Cinnamon Powder 44.8%, Coriander Seed Powder 30%, Bay Leave Powder 14.4%, Star Anise Powder 9.2% and Allspice Powder 1.6%.
